Lactation

Lactation Support at RCAM

Supporting our families with newborns is a priority at RCAM.

That is one of the big reasons why we see patients in our office everyday - to support our newborns. A big part of helping our families with newborns includes providing lactation support.

Meet Our Lactation Consultant

Somer Olwan is our certified lactation consultant.

She has 3 children of her own. Her experiences feeding them as infants motivated her to become a certified lactation consultant.

Breastfeeding Moms can meet with her on an as needed basis - usually as part of a visit with one of our pediatricians.

A smiling woman with long, dark hair in a white coat stands in front of greenery, likely outside.

Our Patient Service Representatives who schedule all of our office appointments are familiar with Somer's schedule each week.

She rotates her days between our Duraleigh and Brier Creek offices.

If you would like to see Somer as part of your newborn's office visit, be sure to mention that when you are making your appointment - we want to make sure you get the support you need.
