Raleigh Children & Adolescents Medicine takes care of newborns at WakeMed's Raleigh Campus and at Rex Hospital.  

If your child needs emergency care when our office is not open, we prefer the Children's Emergency Department at WakeMed.

For children who need admission to the hospital, we usually admit our patients to Rex Hospital.

 

Over the last few years, the children's inpatient service at WakeMed has become more and more specialized.  As such, there will be times when we prefer to admit sick children to WakeMed in order to take advantage of the special skills offered there.  As of August 2009, after decades of serving as attending physicians at WakeMed,  community physicians (including the physicians at RCAM) will no longer be able to serve as attending physicians there.
