Our Beginning

Raleigh Children and Adolescents Medicine began in 1966 when Robert Fleming, MD hung his shingle and began a solo practice near Cameron Village. He was later joined by Stephen Edwards, MD and Alan Goldman, MD. 

Those three now enjoy retirement after a combined 98 years of service. As founders, they established a pattern of practice that we try to preserve today: patient-centered care based on the best available science.
